Vera wears many hats—she’s a massage therapy instructor, practicing therapist, and a dedicated home-educating mother. “For me, massage and teaching go hand in hand—they’re two sides of the same coin,” she explained.

Her skill as a therapist has been nationally recognized; she earned 2nd place in the Freestyle Massage category at the 2018 National Massage Championship. Vera currently practices in South London, where she works with a diverse range of clients from all walks of life.

Before entering the world of massage, Vera’s career was rich and varied. She holds a Master’s degree in molecular biology and virology, has worked as a scientist, freelance sailing writer, local newspaper sub-editor, and teacher. She’s even published a book. “Each role has given me valuable skills that I now bring into my teaching,” she said.

For Vera, guiding students on their journey to becoming massage therapists is incredibly rewarding. “Watching them grow and pursue their goals is one of the most fulfilling parts of what I do,” she shared.
